Things to Do in Singapore at Night: 6 Events You Won’t Want to Miss

Things to Do in Singapore at Night: 6 Events You Won’t Want to Miss

Not every night out needs a DJ, a dance floor or someone yelling, "Last drink!"

Sometimes you just want to leave the house, stay out late and actually do something.

Singapore has plenty of nightlife beyond bars, clubs and concerts — from illuminated heritage trails and immersive theatre to waterfront festivals and a Disney-inspired island adventure.

So if your usual Friday night routine is starting to feel a little... predictable, here are six limited-time events worth getting out for.

And yes, some of them still involve drinks.

We're not animals.

1. A Magical Island Adventure with Disney Cruise Line

24 June – 20 September 2026
📍 Sentosa

Who said a night out has to involve a guest list?

Sentosa is getting a Disney Cruise Line makeover this summer with A Magical Island Adventure: Let's Set Sail with Disney Cruise Line, transforming parts of the island into a coastal playground inspired by the cruise line.

Expect themed zones, interactive experiences, glowing installations and larger-than-life Disney touches spread across Sentosa.

There are also dedicated nighttime sessions on selected dates, giving you a chance to explore the experience after dark rather than baking in the Singapore afternoon sun.

The campaign runs from 24 June to 20 September 2026, so you have a few months to make plans — but don't leave it until September and then complain that summer disappeared.

Best for: Dates, friends, Disney fans and anyone who wants a night out that feels more like an adventure.

2. Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis

1 August – 5 September 2026
📍 Bras Basah.Bugis Precinct
🎟️ Free entry

What happens when Singapore's heritage district decides to stay up late?

Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis.

From 1 August to 5 September, historical buildings and hidden spaces around Bras Basah.Bugis will be transformed with light installations and digital experiences inspired by Singapore's myths, folklore and legends.

The experience runs into the night — until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays — making it an easy option for a spontaneous evening out.

And the best part?

It's free.

So you can spend the money you saved on cocktails afterwards.

Best for: Friends, casual dates, photography and anyone who wants a night out without buying a ticket.

3. Singapore Night Festival 2026: Myths & Legends

21 August – 5 September 2026
📍 Bras Basah.Bugis

If you haven't experienced the Singapore Night Festival after dark, August is your excuse.

Returning for its 17th edition, Singapore Night Festival 2026 takes over Bras Basah.Bugis from 21 August to 5 September with the theme Myths and Legends.

Expect immersive installations, projection mapping, performances and nighttime experiences that turn the neighbourhood into something that feels completely different after sunset.

It's also a great one to pair with Light Together — you can make an entire evening of wandering through the precinct, stopping for food and drinks whenever you feel like it.

No dance floor required.

Best for: Art lovers, couples, groups of friends and people who want their night out to have slightly more cultural enrichment than usual.

4. GREEN-HOUSE Festival 2026

28 – 30 August 2026
📍 Temasek Shophouse
🎟️ Free entry

GH26_Banner.pngSustainability festivals don't exactly scream "night out."

GREEN-HOUSE is here to prove otherwise.

The 2026 edition takes place from 28 to 30 August at Temasek Shophouse, bringing together a curated marketplace, immersive experiences and activities centred around sustainability and Singapore's coral reefs.

And here's the important bit for our purposes: Friday runs from 6pm to 10pm, making it a legitimate after-dark option.

So you can browse sustainable brands, check out the immersive Reef Missions and generally feel like a more responsible adult before deciding where to have drinks afterwards.

Balance.

Best for: Foodies, conscious shoppers, couples and anyone who wants their night out to feel slightly more wholesome.

5. Sinners: Live Singapore

5 – 6 September 2026
📍 The Southern Depot, Gillman Barracks
🔞 18+

Sinners: Live Singapore Tickets, Multiple dates | EventbriteOkay, this one is a little harder to explain.

Because Sinners: Live isn't a concert.

It isn't conventional theatre either.

It's an immersive experience inspired by the world of the film Sinners, transporting audiences into a 1930s Mississippi Delta juke joint.

Instead of sitting in a theatre watching a performance happen in front of you, you walk through the world of the story. There are live musicians, actors, characters moving through the space, food, drinks and a supernatural storyline unfolding around you.

And it only happens for two nights in Singapore.

So if you've been waiting for an excuse to say, "Let's do something different tonight," this is your excuse.

Best for: Film fans, immersive theatre lovers, blues fans and anyone bored of the usual dinner-and-drinks routine.

6. Singapore River Festival 2026

11 – 20 September 2026
📍 Boat Quay, Clarke Quay & Robertson Quay

Singapore River Festival 2026The Singapore River gets its own after-dark festival this September.

The 10th edition of Singapore River Festival brings together Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay under one festival, with immersive art, performances, light and projection shows, wellness experiences and outdoor activities.

The festival is split across three zones:

Boat Quay: Entertainment
Clarke Quay: Expression
Robertson Quay: Lifestyle & Wellness

Which means you can choose your own adventure — whether that's checking out projections, exploring the riverfront or simply wandering between the quays and seeing what catches your attention.

And yes, there are bars along the river.

But for once, they're not the main event.

Best for: Groups of friends, couples, waterfront wanderers and anyone who likes their night out with a little more variety.

Your Next Night Out Doesn't Have to Be a Party

Singapore nightlife doesn't always have to mean:

Bar → club → supper → repeat.

Sometimes it's a light installation.

Sometimes it's an immersive theatre experience.

Sometimes it's wandering around the Singapore River with your friends until someone inevitably says, "Should we get a drink?"

And honestly?

That's still a pretty good night.

🍸 If Your Night Out Still Involves Drinks...

We're not saying you have to give up the cocktails.

We're just saying that if your "night out" eventually turns into a few drinks, it's worth knowing what alcohol does to your body — and how to prepare for the morning after.

For more practical tips on drinking, hangovers, recovery and what you can do before and after a night out, check out the Locohol Hangover Guide.

Go on, celebrate...

But first, Locohol.
